After downloading using Downloader pro I delete the images via the program option to do so. Is there any point or requirement or advantage in formatting the cards after this?

I usually format the card in the camera after downloading as this is usually quicker than deleting the images using DLPro, but it doesn't make much difference.
If I do format the card I always do it in the camera and not from Windows so that I'm absolutely sure the camera can read the card.
