Focus

I'm trying to use the Canon power shot G5 with the PSRemote taking picture of Ethidium stained agarose gel in molecular biology.. can somebody help me??
I have problems focusing the images

Unfortunately it isn't possible to manually control the focus of PowerShot cameras when they are operated remotely. The only thing you can do is use AF lock to lock the focus. Switching to Av exposure mode and setting the aperture to f/8 will give you maximum depth of field to reduce the effect of minor focusing erros.
