When downloading from mutiple cameras and using the original file name, would the uniqueness (%l) totally prevent duplicate file names?
I'm trying to figure out the limitations of the uniqueness functions.

No. What it does is ensures that the files in the current download have unique filenames. DLPro can't generate unique filenames from previous downloads because thsi would prevent it from knowing which files have already been downloaded.

What if I backup all my cf cards onto a PSD (PD7oX). Then download them all at once, would it then prevent duplicate file names?

Yes you can use the uniqueness tokens and download all the files in one go. However, it will be quite slow if you have a large number of images because DLPro has to scan and sort the filenames several times to allocate the download filenames.
