Hi.
I just tried the Downloader Pro 1.8.1 Trial.
The first thing I did was to try the DNG converter plugin and used these settings in the Adobe DNG-converter ver 3.3:

Compress raw data (lossless) - Checked/Enabled.
Embed original raw file in DNG file - Unchecked/Disabled.
Large JPEG preview - Unchecked/Disabled.

And I set the "Direktory for DNG file:" to ..\DNG

Everything worked out as expected but then when browsing the files in the Bridge I noticed that only the raw file had the NAA/IPTC data and not the DNG files. Is this something you are aware of or is this a bug?

And if I may make a wish I want to be able not to download the raw files and only the DNG files. I only want one set of originals and I think it's time to make a change to DNG now. :o

Thankyou for a fantastik downloader. // Jani W

Currently DLPro only supports IIM IPTC data and this can't be stored in DNG files. DNG files use Adobe's XMP format for storing meta data and this isn't supported by DLPro yet.

DLPro needs to download the raw file so that it can pass it to Adobe's DNG converter to create the DNG files. You could set the download paths to a different folder for the raws and DNG files to make it easier to delete the raw files if you don't require them. Personally I would keep the raw files as a backup.

Hi Chris.
Thankyou for your quick respond!
I allready set the download paths to a different folder by using "..\DNG" as my DNG download path and my RAW Download directory to "D:\Photos\EOS 300D\%Y\%Y-%m-%D-%J\RAW".

That way they will be created like this:

..\2006\2006-03-17-Jobcode\RAW
..\2006\2006-03-17-Jobcode\DNG

So in the future I can easely delete the RAW files.

I allso used the directory maker plugin and entered "..\EDIT" to create:

..\2006\2006-03-17-Jobcode\EDIT

And I think I'm going to follow your advise and keep the RAW files for some time. :)

Now I'm going to purchase the Downloader Pro.
Thankyou again // Jani W
