Hello all,

I am trying out Dowloader Pro and want to know if it is possible to do a selective download. I want to download some of the files into one folder, some into another, to allow Extensis Portfolio to perform the correct cataloguing options for different types of shots.

Is this possible with Downloader Pro?

Many thanks,

Steve

I would be happy if I could just download a few files on one session, chosing one folder, then switch folders to download the rest of the files. I have searched the help files and didn't find any clues to how to do this.

Thanks again,

Steve

You can select files in the main view e.g. click on the first file in the list, hold the Shift key down and click on the last one to select a range and then use Ctrl+click to add or remove files to the selection. DLPro will ask whether to download the selected files or all the files if one or more files are selected when you press the "Download" button.

Chris, in this regard, I'm also aware that user can dble click any image to get a thumbnail & make use of arrow keys to move from file to file.

However, when it comes time to selecting, user has to close thuumbanil & remember the particular shot # in order to go back & make the selection.

It would be really special if that wonderful little browser window could be attached to the main view as an option.

Sometimes I mix subjects on a card which I like to download to a separate folders.

Having the viewer working in synch with the main viewer would facilitate the selection process.

BDLp & BBp re so fast, I can't imagine this addition slowing BDLp down.

Anyway, a suggestion which you may have heard before. Thanks for your consideration. -janrif

DLPro is really designed for downloading the whole card quickly and efficiently. The option to show thumbnails was added to make it easier to identify the contents of a card rather than for selecting individual shots for downoading. I'm reluctant to extend this at the moment as it would only be available when using a card reader.

I'm not sure why harm that would be but, obviously, i'ts your decision. Unfortunately, for me, if effects my workflow enough times so that I'll now have to figure something out which allows me to see what I'm doing at certain times. Eventually, I hope you'll reconsider this in a future version as DLp is probably the best in it's category. -janrif
