Hello;

I'm pretty sure BBP converts images to sRGB automatically when creating images for the web (CTL H).

Is it the same when using BBP to send the image via e-mail?

Am I correct in these assumptions?

Thanks....Iain

There is a preference setting under "HTML Generation" for converting HTML images to sRGB. Emailed images are automatically converted to sRGB if the source image contains an embedded color profile.

Hello:

The properties box indciates ADOBE RGB 1998. The HTML preferences is set to convert images to sRGB. However, when I open the images after web generation the EXIF data still reads ADOBE RGB 1998.

Where am I going wrong?

Shouldn't the data now read sRGB?

Thanks....IAIN

I'm a bit confused by this because the HTML generator doesn't copy the EXIF data when it writes the JPEG. If you have "Reuse existing images" selected and the original JPEG is the same size or smaller than the output size the HTML generator will copy it unmodified which might explain why you don't see any change.

Hi Chris

Thanks for the note.

The command "Reuse existing images" is not ticked.
The preferences have been set up to convert to sRGB
Colour space of image is Adobe 1998 RGB
Images were post processed from RAW to JPEG
The assign profile to specific camera (in preferences) is not being used. It is unticked

I note that there is also another thread regarding the same topic (gatorboy)

Chris, this is not a big hassle as I can just as easily batch command using CS2 .......Iain
