I'm using a probram called ROBOGEO to encode my images with lat/long information from a GPS I was carrying with me on my last trip. The lat/long info has now been inserted into the EXIF data of the image. I now want to make that information appear on the generated html code.

The following was copied from what BB Pro shows when I display image properties. Are there tokens for @lat@ and @long@ ????

Thanks Lee

Yes: @latitude@ and @longitude@

BTW Robogeo has the unfortunate side-effect of corrupting the Canon MakerNote which means you lose detailed shooting data such as lens, AF mode, focus points, flash info, custom functions, owner string etc.

Looking at image properties (BBPro), I can see that RoboGeo puts its version number inside the "firmware" string. But, when I look at the same image that was not modified by RoboG, there is no data at all under firmware.

Since I always shoot RAW, I can get to the other camera information by looking at the RAW properties. I use Capture 1 for conversions to jpeg and tiff.

I have sent a note to RoboGeo support regarding your response.

Thanks for the solution to my problem.

The author of RoboGEO confirmed that he has fixed that problem and they no longer damage the EXIF data. I've confirmed this by looking for camera information after doing the merge of Lat/Long data.

I upgraded my BBPro to 1.4.2 in the hopes that it would properly extract lat/long from the images.... It didn't work. When I view the HTML code, here is what I see:

Maybe we should temporarily switch to straight email for a bit on this problem.
