On my machine OS w2k sp4
user begins slide show s
right click on image or background produces nothing

Is it just me or what am I missing? How do I get to SS controls now?

If you have the "Two button mouse" option selected in slideshow the left button advances the slideshow and the right button displays the previous image. When this is selected you need to hold down the SHIFT key before pressing the right button to display the menu.
