1. I have selected Prompt for IPTC option in preferences and when I load downloader pro, that prompt does not come up.

The option won't come up unless/until DL Pro finds a source directory with images.

If that's not the problem, it's worth checking the registry entries if you can; they are at

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\BreezeSystems\Downloade r\201

There is a Promptfor IPTC key, which should be set to 1

I checked the registry and the value 1 is there and I do point to a folder with pictures in a folder on my hard drive but the prompt is not coming up??

Ah! You are not actually downloading, so the dialog does not pop up. It is quite possible that IPTC data was created during the download from camera/card stage was performed.

You can use the Edit/IPTC data menu item if required.

I am sure that Clive is correct. The dialogue only comes up if DL Pro finds a source when it opens. By definition, if you are 'downloading' from a folder, you have to specify that folder after DL Pro opens.

You can use the keystroke Ctrl+Shift+I to call the IPTC edit dialogue. It might also be useful to have one or more saved sets of IPTC data for use with the files you are 'downloading'.
