Hello,

I'm helping out a friend with time-lapse photography of birds. It seems to take us a number of attempts for the software to recognise the camera and then to be able to take and save the shots to the PC (Toshiba laptop running Win XP).

I've still to work out what finally works.

Is there a preferred order, eg.
1. Turn on camera.
2. Start software running on PC.
3. Connect USB cable to PC.
4. "Connect" option in software.

Thanks,

:)

Margaret

Th best way is to connect the USB cable and turn the camera on. Then wait a few seconds for Windows to recognize the camera and then run DSLR Remote Pro.
What might be happening is another app is running automatically when the camera is connected and this is preventing DSLR Remote Pro from connecting to the camera.

Thanks Chris. I will try that order before I go out next into the bush. We want to setup quickly near a nest and leave for 2 hours of time-lapse. We want to keep to a minimum disturbing the hen and chick.

Thanks again :)

Margaret.
