2.0.3 loses "connection with camera" after reading card but prior to downloading files. Where can I download .02 so I can continue to use the program? thanks

What camera and what version of Windows are you using please?
You can download previous versions from:

If you're installing an older release you need to uninstall the newer release first.

I've had this problem, intermittently, with versions of DLP 2.0 earlier than 2.0.3. In my case it has happened during a download. I am using XP Pro, fully updated, and had the problems with Canon 5D, 30D and Powershot A700 cameras. My recollection is that downloads from the Powershot gave me most problems, but I was also struggling with a faulty SD card at the time, so this may not be accurate.
The problem seems to have gone away after I unregistered DL Pro for camera events. I don't really need a direct camera connection.
I had not recently updated DL Pro when the problem first arose, and suspect that a Windows patch has broken something.
Hope this helps.
P.S. (later) I should also have mentioned that I had the option set to download only from a reader. I never use DL Pro to download direct, but did at one time use its facilities to change camera settings.

I have a 20D and a G7. I am downloading from the cards and not the cameras. Vista Ultimate.
Thanks

Sorry, I'm a bit puzzled: how can it lose the connection with the camera if you're downloading from a card reader?

Well, indeed. But that's what the message says. And I've not had the problem since I disabled camera events.
It is as though the launch of DL Pro makes Windows think that a (non-existent) camera is connected, and, then, when it finds that the camera isn't there, it disconnects and disables or closes DL Pro.
My symptoms are a bit different from Ronny's, in that DL Pro usually got some way into a download before the problem manifested itself. But my operating system is different as well.
If Ronny gets the problem with camera events disabled, that would be even more puzzling. I'm OK as things are, and can wait until someone else reproduces the problem.

Thanks for the clarification. I have camera events enabled for Downloader Pro on my system and have never had any problems. All enabling camera events does is registers DLPro with Windows' STI interface so that DLPro is listed as one of the apps available to run when a camera is connected. This shouldn't affect DLPro's ability to download images even if a camera is connected during the download.

It may be my card reader. Let me get back to you.....

Confirmed. Replaced the reader and all is right with the world. It worked with the older version but not with the latest. Thanks for your help!

Interesting. At the time, I did have suspicions about one of my card readers, but did not pursue this, as disabling camera events seemed to provide the fix. Maybe the reader was confusing its driver, or Windows, as to what kind of device it was.
