My question is, does PSRemote support multiple concurrent cameras? I see in another thread there is reference to a "PSRemote multi-camera version". Is this not the standard PSRemote version? If not then how do I get a copy of the "multi-camera" version? Does it work with A640s? Is there a trial version? Thank you.

Within a minute of posting I thought I should do a search and did find the link to the "multi-camera" version. I have installed and have 2 A640s nicely loading concurrent images to a PC folder. Another couple questions though.....
Will it support more than 2 cameras?
Is there any way to have an image from each camera displayed at the same time? Ideally the "Preview" button showing one preview from each camera (or something like that)?

PSRemote Multi-Camera is available as a beta release and currently supports the A640, S5 IS and G7. I have just received a G9 on loan from Canon and plan to add support for it in the standard PSRemote and the multi-camera version.
You can download the latest beta from:

The trial version allows up to four cameras to be connected. You can purchase a licence from:

I don't know the maximum number of cameras that can be used at the same time. I've tested it with three cameras (two A640s and a G7) and I know of a number of users running four cameras. I've tested DSLR Remote Pro with 25 Canon EOS 30Ds and so it's possible PSRemote would run with a similar number of PowerShot cameras. It's difficult to get enough cameras of the same model together for testing unless I have a specific project that requires it. The DSLR Remote Pro testing was for a Hollywood special effects company that wanted to control 120 cameras. We found that 25 cameras was the maximum number that worked reliably and so ended up using 5 laptops networked together.
Currently it isn't possible to display the shots from each camera side by side in PSRemote. This could be added in the future if there is enough demand for the multi-camera version.

That's great.
Wondering if there are plans to add support for the Canon S3? (Or if it's even possible?)

Currently it works with the A640, S5 IS, G7 and G9 and I plan to add the new SX100 IS soon. It may work with older cameras like the S3 IS, but I haven't tested it as I don't have several S3 IS cameras.
