I read the note related to Canon Power Shoot downloads using newer cameras. Using my old hard drive and an older version of DLP (1.61 maybe) photos were downloaded several times. Experience tells me the latest version of DLP can maybe be changed to work with newer Power Shoot cameras. Our latest Canon Camera is a SD800-IS.
Is there a plan to correct the power shoot download problem?

Chris has explained that the problem arose because Canon ceased to support direct download from the camera in the Software Development Kits associated with more recent Powershot cameras. You can, of course, still use DL Pro to download from a card reader, and this is the method I use to download from all my cameras, including a Powershot A700; it is in any case much quicker than direct downloading from the camera.
The Windows scanner and camera wizard will download directly from a Powershot; it uses a protocol called PTP, which DL Pro does not as yet support; PTP has no facilities for reading metadata in the images to be downloaded, and this a core element of DL Pro's capabilities. Chris stated in July (post #5 in this thread (http://www.breezesys.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2303)) that he is working on a new release of DL Pro which is PTP-enabled. It would be nice to know how this work is progressing.

I've got basic PTP support in DLPro working on Windows XP but haven't tested it on Vista yet. I'm aiming to release a beta some time next month.
