I've added a page to the website describing how to take pictures with huge depth of field by using a technique called focus stacking. It works by taking a series of photos with different focus settings and then running (free) software to combine the in focus areas of each image to give a single image with increased depth of field.
You can of course take the pictures with any camera but it is greatly simplified by running a script which automatically takes the photos using DSLR Remote Pro and a camera that supports live view (e.g. Canon EOS 40D or 1D Mark III).
For more details of this exciting technique please see the web page (http://www.breezesys.com/DSLRRemotePro/focus_stacking.htm)
