Accessing my Canon 10D, there are files dated 1969/12/31, named 144.CTG and D.CTG. No problem to ignore.
Images appear properly dated and download without problems.

On my Canon 10D, connecting the camera to USB after DLP is launched, I don't see a way to navigate to the camera (nothing shows for the camera in Explorer). No problem to connect first and then launch.

If you hit F5 (or select File->Refresh) DLPro should connect to the camera.
I will look at problem with the extra .CTG files with the 10D. Probably the best thing is for DLPro to ignore them altogther.
BTW I strongly recommend using a card reader to download images from the 10D as the camera only has a USB 1.1 interface and is painfully slow. A fast CF card and card reader is many times faster - I get 15Mb/sec download speeds with my card reader.

What card reader and cards do you use, Chris? Best I have seen using SanDisk Extreme III cards and SanDisk USB 2 reader is 8-9Mb/sec. I am using USB 2.0 reader in USB 2.0 port.

F5 did not work, but I see Camera > Connect to Camera, which does the trick.

For sure! By the way, what card reader do yo use that gets 15Mb/sec? Or is it that your card itself is fast. With a CardBus reader and lowly 40x Lexar 512MB CF card I get about 5Mb/sec.

Can't speak for Chris, but I typically get around 12-15MB per second using Sandisk Extreme III and a Sandisk USB 2.0 card reader (Imagemate 12 in 1). The speed varies a bit depending on file size, etc., but I do get about 15 MB/sec on a good day with the big EOS 5D CR2 files.

I get the best download speed (around 15MB/sec with large raw files) with a Uno! 2.0 UDMA 40 CF card reader and a Kingston 2GB 50X CF card. With a SanDisk Ultra II 4GB card the speed drops to around 10Mb/sec.
