Hello,
I'm planning a rather extensive time-lapse project.
It would involve one ore more installations at remote industrial (e.g. mining) sites.
At the remote location I would have
-a computer with internet access
-a suitable still camera
I'm planning on running PSRemote under control of a "master program" that will probably also control a pan&tilt device.
Initial tests with controlling PSremote from VB6 are promising, although I am still using the trial version.
After a power outage, (which are unavoidable from time to time) the computer will autostart the capture program.
However, I am concerned about how the camera will behave.
After a power outage, is it necessary to switch it on manually?
Do different camera models behave differently in this respect?
The camera will not run on batteries, but from an AC adapter.
(I have ordered an AC adapter for my Powershot S2is, but haven't received it yet..)
I would like to hear from anyone with experiences or thoughts
about a project like this!
