Just got my new 1DMkIII and the Canon WiFi will be arriving by Wednesday.
I'm trying to decide whether or not I can use the Breeze Remote app. If time-lapse photography isn't of interest, what would be the advantages of this software over using the Canon EOS Utility? (If it can even be used with the WiFi attachment.)
(I've been a BB, BBPro and DLPro user for years and love Chris' programs, so I'm pretty sure his programs offer some advantages over the Canon stuff, but I'm not sure what they are.)
Thanks!

You can download a free time-limited trial of DSLR Remote Pro, as with all Breeze products. Details of the software are accessed through the products page, to which there is a link at the top of this one.
This isn't my area of interest; if it were, I suspect that
"Unique to DSLR Remote Pro is the ability to autofocus using the live view images displayed on the PC."
would get my attention.
Hope this helps.

The best thing to do is try the free 15-day trial version to see whether DSLR Remote Pro is useful for you. It offers things like time lapse shooting, auto-bracketing for HDR shooting, AF in live view, grid and focus point overlays, B&W previews, flashing highlight display, a much easier to use interface, a photobooth shooting mode and much more.
Unfortunately Canon's SDK doesn't support WiFi operation and so you can't use DSLR Remote Pro with the Canon WiFi adaptor.

Thank you Chris (and David) for your replies on this.
I've downloaded the trial version and am testing it out. Chris, I'm surprised at your above comment. I downloaded and started playing with the trial version after reading David's reply but before seeing yours.
I didn't know it doesn't work, and frankly I'm glad I didn't see your reply earlier as I probably wouldn't have tried it.
It DOES INDEED WORK!!!
I'm using a Canon 1D Mark III with their WFT-E2A WiFi transmitter with the latest Canon drivers. DSLR Remote Pro does indeed work, in both the regular AND live views. I'm able to remotely autofocus, (or manually focus), change exposure, modes, etc.
This wireless capability is really nice (although more a toy than necessity for me) and other than the autofocus feature, the main advantage DSLR Remote Pro has in my opinion is the flexibility of renaming files on download that I'm used to. Canon's own remote stuff doesn't allow me to have my images renamed to suite my style.
(I always have a 3-character prefix identifying the camera body, followed by an underscore, followed by a single digit which after a thousand shots I manually increment by one, followed by the actual image number. So with this new camera my images are named something like "i5r_00123".)
There IS an issue I'm encountering though, and I'm going to start a new thread to ask you about it.
Cheers!

That's good news that DSLR Remote Pro works with the WFT-E2A. I must admit that I assumed that the WFT-E2A was like the WFT-E1A and wouldn't work with anything other than Canon's own software.
