I'm a NKremote user with Nikon D90 camera on it. During the first hour of our operation, everything runs flawlessly, until the sensor got overheat that freezes the screen view.
I'm getting paranoid that my camera might burn-out or got broken during that time. geesh.

Is all DSLR camera uses heat sensor that freezes the live view? If not, what DSLR camera you can suggest for a smooth operation of photobooth?

Thank you very much, any suggestions are highly appreciated.

I'm not sure whether the D90 uses a heat sensor or a timer when in live view, but after a certain time the camera will cancel live view. Currently the only way to restart it is to exit photobooth mode and manually start/stop live view before going back to photobooth mode. You can avoid the problem by turning the camera off when not in use. If the photobooth is in regular use any timers in the camera should be reset each time a photo is taken and you shouldn't have problems with the camera cancelling live view.

In the next release NKRemote will detect when the camera cancels live view and will automatically restart it. This will interrupt live view for a few seconds every 50 to 70 minutes.

I don't think (but can't guarantee) that running live view for long periods will damage the imaging sensor. What it will do is cause the sensor to become warm which will increase the amount of noise and result in lower image quality. This reduction in image quality probably isn't significant when shooting at low ISO settings.
