We had an event last night, and we had encounter read/write error i guess 3 or 4 times. Is it normal on your usual operation? By the way, we were using NKRemote with Nikon D90 Camera. To fix the problem, all I had to do is to shutdown the computer and back it on again and cross finger that error won't bugged us again. :(

It's not normal to get errors. What was the error message?
The most likely cause of random errors is USB cabling problems or low batteries on camera or laptop.

As I remember, I got a "Read/Write error" or something, I can't remember. But I guess you're right, low battery is the culprit. Is 20% left on battery considered low?

I haven't done any specific testing to see how the cameras perform with low batteries but I have seen odd behavior such as live view being activated on the camera with no live view images being sent to the PC. It's worth keeping an eye on the battery level and swapping it for a fresh battery before it gets too low.

Thanks Chris, maybe after an hour of operation we will replace the battery with a new one.
