HI,
I have emailed Support a few times over the last week but have not received any reply. In case you are not receiving my emails I have also copied my issues with Downloader Pro here as well :-
I have just discovered and registered Downloader Pro after trying out at
least a dozen alternatives. (the nearest to yours was Roboimport which I
actually registered then found it does not appear to work under Windows 7)
In order for me to get the best out of Downloader Pro I have a few
questions please.
(To put this into context I am first of all using the program to
organise a few thousand of my photos, which are organised in different ways)
Sometimes Drag and drop from Windows Explorer works fine, and other
times it just hangs (Shows the + sign as if it was going to add the
files and they do not appear. Dialogue box remains grey and eventually I
just have to shut down the program via task manager) - I am using Win 7
Pro and can provide more info if requested.
When importing files, I would find it really useful to sometimes be able
to select a few images (Not just by day/date) in order to either change
their names manually, or give them a unique Job Code. I can only seem to
be able to do this by each day, perhaps there is something I have missed
here?
Also, it may seem a minor point but one of the features I did like about
Roboimport was that when moving / renaming folders etc it had an option
to delete not only the original files (WHen moved) but the original
folder as well. This is very useful to me and there was an option so you
could add exceptions (eg also delete picasa.ini files, then delete the
folder) - With Downloader Pro I am finding that I am left with dozens of
empty folders which I have had to find a utility to help me delete them
all (Too time consuming otherwise) - is there a similar option in
Downloader Pro please?
My last question is that your program seems to cope well with any AVI
files found on digital cameras etc, but is this actually supported as I
havent seen it mentioned. If so how are they sorted?
Many thanks for a fantastic bit of software
Regards
Adrian
