I'm running PSRemote. Does this software actually show a numeric countdown, or just fixate on the number of seconds before the shot is taken. (that's all I've been able to get it to do). I have seen other photobooth software that actually count down the numbers before the shot is taken....

You can specify what text it displays and use the following tokens:
@imageNumber@ - image number in the sequence e.g. 1, 2, 3, 4
@numberOfImages@ - number of images in the sequence e.g. 4
@secsToNextPhoto@ - secs remaining until the next shot e.g. 5, 4, 3...
