Greetings,

I am working with a demo version of DSLR Remote Pro for Windows using a Laptop running Windows XP teathered to a Canon EOS Digital Rebel T1i for use in a Photobooth setup.

When I am in Full Screen Photobooth mode with live view and start the program, the program will take the first picture, count down to the second and then nothing happens. After about 30 seconds an Error message pops up: Error H/W Error! 0x00000081

What does this mean?

I am using a short USB cord that came with the camera. (Actually tried three different corda and get the same results.)

Canon's documentation isn't very helpful on this and lists the error code as "undefined error". With some cameras you get this error when the auto focus fails to lock. So one thing to try is setting the lens to manual focus.
Does the camera appear to work correctly with DSLR Remote Pro when not using photobooth mode?

I was running into the same error when I first started using a rebel. Set the focus to manual and it will clear up the issue.
