Hi,

I use DLPro daily and while it works fine for every camera I have since the 300D, I'm having problems with my new GF1. 5D Mark II video files download fine but because the GF1 records the AVCHD lite movies in \PRIVATE\AVCHD\BDMV\STREAM the usual convention of folder number minus 1 + image number doesn't work. Is there a way to handle this but still retain the ability to download from other DSLRs, i.e my Mark II, D300, etc?

Maybe an option to put the files in the same folder if the folder number minus one gives an error in a case like this?

You could try using the camera name mapping function to specify a different download path for files from the GF1.

Thanks Chris but I download my photos to a photo directory, sorted by date and job code.

i.e. photos\2010\2010-02-02\job-code

and would like the GF1's photos and videos to be in the same directory. The other thing is that I rename the files so I use the camera prefix, i.e. GF1_0000012.jpg or 5D-a_021002.jpg (5D Mk II body A). I would like the MTS files to follow this if possible. My Mk II and 7D video files are fine.

There are two problems:
1) Panasonic video files are stored in a private folder instead of following the standard DCF convention. This means you can't use DCF folder names to specify the download folder. You should be able to use the file timestamps to get the date and time though.
2) Panasonic video files don't contain EXIF shooting data and so DLPro can't read the camera model. If you make sure there is a JPEG image on the memory card DLPro will try use the shooting data to determine the camera model.

In contrast, video files from Canon cameras are stored in the same folder as still images and they have THM thumbnail files which contain full EXIF shooting data.

Thanks Chris for taking the time to reply.

I've worked it out by creating a new user profile. The way my tokens are setup, the MTS files will be flagged by DLPro (duplicate file names due to using the Folder number -1 token). I then change the user profile to one specific for the GF1 and download only the MTS files.

Feature request/suggestion:

As I also use the camera model mapping feature quite a lot (multiple cameras and/or multiple photographers), maybe instead of user profiles, a camera profile option might be do-able? It'll load a specific profile if associated with a specific camera model.

Thanks for still the best card to disk product yet!

I think this would be tricky because a memory card could contain images from more than one camera.
