Hello,
I too am an 'old' user of bb and downloader (2002 ?)
I have upgraded to BB pro and now have bb pro as well as bb.
Why should I keep BB on my computer, since BBpro does the same and more?

I'm in the same situation and can't think of a good reason to keep BB. It can always be reloaded if you find a reason.

Seriously, that's up to you, or? When I decided to go with BBP last December after extensive testing, BB was uninstalled. If ever I decide I won't need BBP anymore (specifically any updates after one year) I can still go with BB for the rest of my life (I, too, am a lifetimer).
