I don't know if anyone has had this issue, and if so and there is a link, feel free to post it. Anyway I am getting ready for 3 events that are back to back, so I have been using custom layout because all of them want something special. While I am testing them to see how they will look, they are not showing up in my print folder. The individual shots show up, but some of the ones that are a group are not. I can shoot three shot sequences and maybe 1 will go in the print folder. I have two Canon S5is and a 32 bit dell laptop and it does it with both cameras, I'm guessing it might be a software issue. I haven't had a lot of time to read all the post, business is booming, but it has just started doing this. Any ideas Thanks

The JPEG copy of the layout is only saved in the print folder if one of the JPEG output options is selected in the photobooth settings. You also need to shoot a standard photobooth sequence - if you use the test "Photobooth Test Shot" option it doesn't print the images and saves the layout in the main photos folder.

I haven't used the test shot, because I want to see the final outcome. So I use the stealth switch. It is saved as a jpeg file, I repeat the shot until one shows up in the print file, after I make an adjustment in the custom layout, its not all the time, it can go for several sequence shots and then 2 or 3 shots will not go into the print file. Thats why its strange to me, I don't change the way that I'm starting the sequence. It just sometimes doesn't go into the print file.

Are you using a "registered" copy of PSRemote?

A few weeks back I did some tests on a "trial" copy of PSRemote and a different computer and had some problems with the program keeping the camera connected. Sometimes it would stay and sometimes it would drop out. Sometimes, I had to launch the program several times to get it to connect.

Never had this problem before with this camera and the setup in the booth.

When that copy of PSRemote was registered, the problem went away.

I think the problem was with the particular laptop I was using and not with PSRemote. The computer was having a problem with the way the the "nag screen" restarts the camera.

It is registered, I have 6 months to go. Same laptop, same cameras, same printer, same software. Thats why I have had problems understanding why this is happening. I haven't really tried it with the printer hooked up, I don't really need to print each of my trials, nor do I want to waste the paper, but I will try it tonight and see if that makes a difference, I guess I can live with it if it is just doing it now while I am making the adjustments on customer layout, but not during an event. Thanks

I don't seem to have the problem when the printer is hooked up. I just don't want to run the printer when I'm making adjustments. I guess I will deal with it.

If you don't have the printer hooked up, then one of two conditions can occur.

1 There is no print driver loaded

2 The wrong print driver is loaded.

When you disconnect a USB device, Windows unloads the driver from active status. When you reconnect it, Windows re-loads the driver. That is why you hear and/or see the USB connection reminder.

You do not have to send the pictures to the printer to have them saved as a jpeg. However, you do need a print driver loaded for the computer to know how to format the output for a printer.

If you have any other printer connected, that driver may be loaded. If you have no printer connected, you may have the Windows Office Document Image Writer driver loaded.

In any event, unless the correct print driver is loaded, the proper formatting cannot take place. It may be possible to fool the program and computer into thinking the printer is loaded by going into the print setup and re-selecting the printer you would normally use and hope that the driver will load so you can format.

Personally, I just work with the printer connected and turned on. Then, when I think I have what I want, it is ready for a test print.

I had a simular issue last night the Photobooth Picture didnt show up I had it set to ask to print without a printer. The Booth pic will only go to the folder if you hit print even without a printer hooked up...I would check your print que and delete any testshots you were working with if you hook you printer back up so not to get unnessary prints. I asls just found out that you need to have youe print setting set to Print and JPEG or it will just print and the Main Picture will go the folder but will not create a Photobooth Print folder. I hav mine set to ask to print and when I canceled the print the Jpeg didnt go to the Print folder as you need to hit print for this to work.
I hope this makes scence.
