It might not be quite what you're looking for, but I'm working on a hot folder printing utility which monitors a folder for new images and automatically prints them using same print layout options as the photobooth software.

Just curious as to why you are creating a hotfolder program when there are already so many out there? like

is this so that templates will be universal and no longer tied to the resolution of a particular printer? That would be really nice!

you can buy a kodak picture making kiosk off ebay for around $1600. Also a cheaper solution is an old sony updr100 printer with the add on monitor for printing. imaging spectrum probably has some.
