Hi CHris,

Sometimes I get the following error message when exiting DLP (version 2.2.7 an older versions):

Error: Access violation at 0x0043951B (tried to read from 0xBFBEBDBC), program terminated.

OS: Windows 7 x64 with all patches

What can cause DLP to crash? I get this error sporadic about every 10th run of DLP.

Michael

I'm not aware of any problems running Downloader Pro on 64-bit Windows 7. The most likely cause is other software such as antivirus or internet security software running on the PC and interfering with the running of Downloader Pro in some way.

The error message only appears if I interrupt DLP (by hitting Escape) when loading hundreds of pictures at startup. When I wait until DLP loaded all photos and hit Escape no error message appears.

Can you reproduce this, Chris?

I haven't been able to reproduce this so far. I used the File->Open Source Directory... option to load all the photos on a drive and then pressed escape while it was listing and it just cancelled the listing.
Are you downloading from a card reader or from a camera (if so, what camera)?

The photos are located in a special folder on my hard drive which is shared as drive U: I configured DLP to import all new photos from drive U:

The error appears not when interrupting the listing of photos but when exiting DLP using Escape.
