I've been using Downloader Pro for a number of years with no trouble but have recently run into some trouble that I can't figure out. I had the program set up so it would automatically see the card and download images. Now when I put my card in nothing happens. I am also unable to even open the program from the windows desktop, program list ect.
I've tried to reinstall the program but that hasn't solved the problem. If anyone has any ideas as to what is causing this I would appreicate it.

Is there an icon for Downloader Pro on your desktop?
What happens if you double click on it?

Aaron - What operating system are you running? What version of Downloader Pro?

Mike I am running Windows XP and have tried both the v 2.2.1 and v 2.2.3 when I reinstalled the program neither would work. I can't get a newer version as my 1 year time frame is up.
I did try and download the newer trial version and that seems to work and open just fine. I only use the program to download and rename files so I would rather not spend the $20 to upgrade if I don't have to.

Aaron - interesting. Where are you located? in the US? In Europe? I'm intrigued by the problem.
I believe Chris is on vacation until August. I'd be happy to do an online meeting with you (if you are in the US, or we can make it work timezone wise). Are you on Skype? I'm on skype as mikestrock .
Shoot me a message and let me know where you are located. If you are on Skype, connect with me there.
I can't guarantee anything, I'm not Chris, and I don't work for/with him, but I do software tech support for a living. I'm happy to take a look if you are interested.

Nothing at all? No splash screen or warning messages? What happens if you double click on Downloader.exe in the installation folder (C:\Program Files\BreezeSys\Downloader Pro) using Windows Explorer? Does Downloader.exe appear in the list of processes in Windows Task Manager?
Antivirus or internet security software blocking or interfering with the software in some way is by far the most common cause of problems at startup. Sometimes updating the antivirus software will fix this.

Chris nothing happens at all no splash, warning ect. The hour glass comes up for like 2 seconds and disappears thats it. Same if I click the program from the windows explorer folder. Downloader.exe does not appear in the list of processes. I don't really have a dedicated antivirus just Adaware and Malware Bytes.
Mike I live in Wisconsin. Never used Skype.

Aaron - I'd be happy to do an online meeting and take a look at a few things, if you have time/interest. Send me a private message with your email address or phone number, if you want.
Mike.
