Hi guys,

After some panic I finally got my prototype of ''The Snap Box'' set up for tomorrow's wedding bash..

Normally the main box sits on a heavy tripod but this time we've perched it on a small cupboard to reduce the height. People will be sitting in a leather couch so much lower that I originally planned for.

The unit next to it houses PC and printer. This was quickly lashed together for tomorrow as I wasn't really expecting such a fast booking.
The whole setup is triggered with a stealth switch.
The cables from the main unit and stealth switch are hidden within the black flexi tubes. I can in fact place the printer/PC unit 3 metres away, the cables are long enough.

I'm curious how it'll perform tomorrow

I'd like to thank Mark of support too, he hurried the order through for me so I could register the software in time.

I'll post more details if people would like.

Comments are of course welcome.

what did you make your booth out of?

It's all MDF. Clear Lexan screen and lens covers, translucent Acrylic for the lighting.

I'll take some better shots soon. The back has a locked door and vents too.

I would love to see more. What did you use for paint?

wow. TheSnapBox was a serious hit!

First time out, it ran flawlesssly for 4 hours straight. People were lining up to use it.
Lots of good feedback from guests at the party and already another booking.

Now I just need to refine some details, improve and perfect.

Rodasphoto, It's just white paint, painted with a roller.

Tweaking and testing my box.
The flash problem I was having looks like it's solved ;)

TheSnapBox had another 5 hour outing. Pretty much unattended too.
No problems really. The flash issues I was having before I resolved now. I am now using a Nikon SB800. Not ideal but works fine.
122 prints made and the Flash's batteries were still going fine.

Some more tweaks are going to include, finding a more permanent flash solution. Compact and light. I'm still wondering about using a very small studio flash, have to search and source one though.

The new base unit is going into production, this'll house the printer and PC.

I'm wondering about including a control panel there for camera zoom and B/W Colour selection. As well as the main start button.

Some random prints from the last session. Needless to say, it's a hit.
