View Full Version : Live Viewfinder in A40

I'm interested in using the Live Viewfinder function in PSRemote to take photos from a microscope installation using a Powershot A40. I'm glad to see software that has this functioality given the limited use the Canon product is.

I've downloaded the evaluation version and can get all the other functions to work but not Live Viewfinder. Is this camera capable? If not which cameras are capable?

The A40 is a fairly old model and I think at that time only the G2, S30 and S40 had a live viewfinder capability. All current PowerShot models that support remote capture can also display a live viewfinder. Some of the current ultra compact models don't support remote capture e.g. Ixus and SD models.
