What settings on camera. I am using 5.6 have an external strobe ISO 400. thehe shutter speed is recording at 1/5 sec. Photo blurring.

Suggestions please

Try setting the camera to manual exposure mode with a shutter speed of 1/200 sec and an aperture of f/5.6. If the camera is set to one of the auto exposure modes it will try to expose using the ambient light and ignore the flash unless it is an E-TTL compatible flash. This will result in a slow shutter speed and motion blur due to the subjects moving during the long exposure.
