When the countdown starts and hits zero taking.jpg is displayed but the live view doesn't turn off. Even if i have disabled live view when taking picture. I notice if I add the release.jpg file in, it will disable the live view, but it's a split second and it won't allow enough time for the user to look up at the camera.

in my experience, relying on a guest to pay attention, listen or read is futile. They won't and don't.

What has worked for me is to minimize the distance between the camera and the live view AND maximize the distance between the subject and the camera. My guests' faces are about 4' from the camera and the camera is only about 6" from the live view at the top of the touchscreen.

This way, I don't care if they stare at themselves in the live view of every shot, which they do. Because of the distances I mentioned, it "looks" like they're staring right into the camera.
