I would like to drop some thoughts of possible future enhancement requests for next releases of Hot Folder Prints:
- Export monitored images to a video file (mp4, mov, mpg, etc). Will be great to have different overlays for each photo
- As we operating our photobooth with many HFP windows open, it will be very helpful if the xml filename is mentioned in the title bar of the window.
- Have a file -> save or save as option, instead of the save button
- The folder monitored to be save to the xml settings file
Thanks

Thanks for the suggestions.
I think exporting the files to a video file is beyond the scope of Hotfolder Prints. You could use Hotfolder Prints to run a command or script to invoke another application to create movie files.
Hotfolder Prints displays the path of the folder being monitored in the window title. If each profile uses a different folder and these are named accordingly then the path can be used to identify each copy of Hotfolder Prints. I don't think it makes sense to display the path of the XML file because Hotfolder Prints doesn't really have a concept of a current XML document. It simply loads the settings from the XML file.
I'd prefer to keep the load/save options in the preferences dialog so that you can see the changes they make.
The folder being monitored is already saved in the XML file.
