When I view the dimensions of my print size they are 4864x6364. Why so big? Does it have a relationship to whichever printer we have hooked up? I'd need to buy the "extreme" version of my editing software just to try and make an overlay.

My screen resolution is 1280x800.

The print size in pixels is determined by the size of the page in inches times the printer resolution. Most dyesub printers have a resolution of 300 dpi which will give a print size of 1200x1800 pixels with 4"x6" paper. Inkjets tend to have much higher resolutions (but not necessarily higher quality) than dyesub printers and will have larger print sizes in pixels. If you are using an inkjet please try setting the printer resolution to 600 dpi or 1200 dpi.
