Hi,

I am currently upgrading my booth to run video along side photos and i am in the process of creating audio prompts

So far for the photo mode i have prompts such as welcome.wav, taking1.wav, taking2.wav etc.. this works fine however i would like to use different prompts for then the end user selects the video option.

Naturally an audio prompt saying "photo 1 of 4" would not be great for a video capture anyone have any idea what the video file names should be? i have had a look on the articles but cant seen anything for the prompting naming convention for video mode

Thanks in advance
Sam

I didn't even know you could use sound. Where do you set this up?

Based on the screens used theren't many places to put audio... compared to the stills sequence, not much is shown to the user.

I would think you could have a ready.wav for the very first screen, but once you get going/recording, you don't want any audio prompts. You also wouldn't want it playing to it's end after the user has pressed start for the video sequence.

Sorry, off topic somewhat, but I didn't know that it supported different prompts (taking1.wav, taking2.wav, etc...)? So this is working by matching the wav to the photo number?

You can use 1.wav, 2.wav. 3.wav etc. to have different audio prompts during the countdown before taking each photo.

The ready.jpg screen is displayed in stills mode and can have a ready.wav audio prompt. In video mode the ready screen is named video_ready.jpg and so you can have a different audio prompt for video (named video_ready.wav).

The latest versions of DSLR Remote Pro for Windows and NKRemote can also play a MOV movie file by giving the same name as the screen e.g. ready.mov
This will be added to PSRemote and Webcam Photobooth in the next release (hopefully ready later today).

Agree, not as many places compared to the photo mode due to how they work but for my build the audio prompts are being used in a different way to usual approach but thanks for taking the time to explain.

Different prompts are available such as welcome, ready, taking etc.. as Chris mentioned below the taking prompt is for the photo thats being taken next for example "taking photo 1 of 4" would be saved as 1.wav and "taking photo 2 of 4" would be saved as 2.wav, once you have the voiceover recorded i find it works well and saves me having to keep repeating instructions to the end users.

Thanks chris, thought it may have been something like a prefix
