Hello everyone. Looking a some new computers, but afraid to take the step lest they are not compatible. Anyone experienced in hooking a windows 8 machine up to any of the following printers: Shinko s2145, Sony UPDR200, and DNP DSRX1. Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
Warmest regards.

The DNP won't work. They're going to release new drivers in February, which probably means April. Apparantly there is a work around :-

Thanks Apples. That is very helpful. Do you know what the situation with the Sony UPDR200 is?

Best I found was to unplug the printer from the computer, open to Windows 8, open a command prompt, Type: { shutdown -o -r -t 0 } (no brackets), on restart, choose to disable driver signature enforcement. Install drivers and then reboot. Plug in printer and it "should" find the printer and configure the driver. Worked for me with a UP-DR200
