Slow thumbnail generation of tiff files

I have some fairly large tiff files (100Mb) and each time I go to a directory where the files are stored, BB takes an extremely long time to regenerate the thumbnail. Any suggestions?

The speed of the thumbnail generation depends on whether the TIFF file contains a thumbnail image. BB can read Photoshop style thumbnails in TIFF files and BBPro can read these and multi-page thumbnails. It's worth trying BBPro to see if the TIFFs contain thumbnails (it will be much faster if they do). Otherwise you could load the image into Photoshop and save it again with a thumbnail.
