Chris,
I'm currently evaluating BB Pro.
As part of BreezeBrowser Pro v1.0.2, you mention that the release
includes sample profiles for the Canon ESO 20D, supplied by AboutDigicam.com.
Are these profiles to be used when the camera uses the sRGB or Adobe RGB color space?
The reason I'm asking is that I use the Adobe RGB color space in-camera, and when I try using the AboutDigicam 20D non-linear profile in the RAW conversion, I get a rather weird looking image, with very flat mid-tones.
And if I enable the Levels post-processing feature (Auto, b&w points at 0.01%), the resulting image is all-over the place: from grossly contrasty, to too dark, or still very flat, or sometimes right on. I do not see this when I use the Adobe RBG color profile in the coversion.
I get the feeling that either these profiles are really bad, or they're not meant to be used when shooting in the Adobe RGB color space.
Could you please clarify when these camera profiles could/should be used?
Regards,
Rob
