I want to add the new file name to IPTC/Original Transmission.

The file name is generated by:
%Y%m%D-%J%R-%T8%n3

This creates the file, but in the IPTC it appears as:
20050919-Jug2-CB%n3
ie, the %n3 token is not translated.

How can I add the "original computer file name" to IPTC so that it is carried through editing, renaming, etc.?

Sorry, it looks as though this token wasn't added to the list of tokens that are expanded when processing the IPTC data. I will fix this in the next update.
