View Full Version : BB Pro 1.30 proof with D70 NEFs -> Error

Hello,

just wanted to share my experiences with BB Pro 1.30 and the proofing function: I have a D70 and use the proofing a lot along with the watermarking. Version 1.22 did great, after upgrading to 1.30 I always get a BB exception error processing the first picture. First I thought it might be related to any settings, but I even get the error message after unselecting all the proof options. BButil also showed that anything is okay. I have now reverted to version 1.22 and everything is fine again.

Any ideas what could be the reason? Anything I should try or post to track this down?

Kind regards and thank you very much in advance for your help,

Robert

BTW, the @user@ macro is not working for proofs. Not serious, just thought I should mention.

Thanks for letting me know about this. I've located the problem and will fix it in the next update.

I'm not sure what you mean by "the @user@ macro is not working for proofs" as there is no @user@ token.

Thank you very much, Chris. A great piece of software for a reasonable price what you provide here.

Sorry, my mistake. I was referring to the @owner@ macro here. It is even shown in the online help picture for Proofs/Watermark, in the greyed out "Text" field. Trying to use the @owner@ macro here for proofing, I only get blank text instead of my name, although I have set the correct entry in the Preferences/HTML generation entry field. Or does @owner@ only refer to the exif information for proofing?

Kind regards,

Robert

The @owner@ token only works with Canon cameras (which have a special field in the shooting data for this) when using proofs. There is an override you can set in BBPro's preferences but this only applies HTML generation.

Thank you for clarifying this, Chris. No big deal, anyway. Happily waiting for the next release... :)
