Chris:

For my workflow I'm trying to workout, I like to review my pictues and delete the "bad" ones. I understand with BBP I have the option of the recycle bin or a "deleted" subfolder in the file's current folder.

What would be more usefull for me is a single target folder for all deleted images. This is similar to the recycle bin except for these things:

1) recycle bin needs to be restored to use/review the deleted pic. If you restore it, youhave to go hunt it down it a complex folder heiarchy (if you haev a lot of pics - I do).
2) recycle bin is mixed with everything else that's going on on the PC and now I have to be carefull to treat it special for the deleted pics
3) Some of us ahev recycle bin turned off on media drives (I do) to save space

As for the deleted subfolder, this is a step in that direction, but if you have lots of folders, you end up with lots of deleted subfolders. This is a maintenance hassle.

The ability to have a 3rd choice of a user-defined specific (constant) deleted folder on the same (or a different drive) that remains constant would eb a superior option IMO. i.e. d:\deleted-pics. This would put them in one place, segregated from other system activities, able to review without restoral, and able to do a final delete in one swoop.

Best,
Scott

Scott,

One problem with that is that you might get name clashes. Not an insurmountable problem, but it makes it a bit more complicated.

SteveI understand and agree, but for those with that issue, use one of the other options, or (re)name them (1), (2), (3) etc.

When I originally tried Downloader and BB this was my problem. Recycler just isn't an option for me for the reasons above. With 'DLer configured nicely I had my stuff arranged in enough subfolders that having to visit each one to double check and/or delete the "deleted" items was a big hassle. Another option would be to store the deleted items under the specified folder in a duplicate subfolder name as the original. Relatively easy to program, and that woudl do away withthe duplicates issue whils still keeping everything in the same main place for deleted stuff.

The Recycle Bin does have some advantages e.g. it remembers the original location of the files and can restore them there. I don't really want to have to add something which is basically a recycle bin just for images.
