Chris is it possible ( or can it be added to BB PRO) to sort a set of images (CR2) by lens type?

The reason is my Canon 17-85, which I do love, images do improve markedly by putting them through PTLen....particularly those at the wider end. If I could arrange the images by lens type, I could batch convert them to a temp directory, process them with PTLens standalone, and then drop them into my regular image directory....where they will arrange by date/time, as that is how I rename them.

Thanks....JOHN

Hi Chris,

after using the lens distortion correction I found myself with exactly the same idea and feature wish.

Until this feature becomes available you can use this workaround:

Select all images (Ctrl+a)
Open the IPTC editor (Shift+Ctrl+i)
Enter @lens@ in the IPTC caption field
Click Apply to Selected + OK
Sort by shooting data (Shift+Ctrl+7)
Select IPTC Caption

Peter,

that's a great idea. Regretly I use the IPTC caption already for the caption of images when creating HTML pages. I could use this option in an early stage of the workflow, though. Thanks for the idea.

I'll add a sort by lens type option in the next update.
