After my previous difficulties to install DP (or, for that matter, BBP) this time everything went smooth. Only gripe I have so far is the start screen and the About box; it would have been nice to see which version exactly I am running. Currently the splash shows "1.7..." and the About "1.7".

Something must not have gone right with the install. Mine is correctly identified as 1.7.1 beta 1 in both the splash screen and help - about.

Bugger [oops, sorry].

Going through the usual motions, uninstalling, new install. Coming back.

[Later this evening:]

Yep, after completely uninstalling DPP, then installing DPP beta, everything now shows (and works) correctly.

Something with the Ghost (?) installer is definitely ... curious.
