As I understand it, DLpro will only add IPTC data to nikon and canon files.

If I convert all my raw files to DNG on import, will DLro add IPTC data to the DNG, and will this be in a form that other programs can read eg ACR or iView.

It seems this whole IPTC/captining business is a bit of a nightmare.

The problem is DNG files don't support the long standing IPTC IIM format and require the data to be stored in Adobe's new XMP format. Currently Downloader Pro only uses the IPTC IIM format.

Thanks Chris, it does seem that moving IPTC data between programs can be a bit of a nightmare.
